Let’s Build a Stronger, Safer, and More Equitable District 3
Stephanie’s Issues and Priorities
Public Safety & Community Trust
Safety and trust are essential. Stephanie will hold open office hours in the district and work with residents, community leaders, businesses and law enforcement to ensure a shared sense of security. She will prioritize community-based solutions and transparency in government decision-making.
Fortifying Union Protections
Stephanie will propose the creation of the Cuyahoga County Labor Relations Board (CCLRB) to protect workers’ rights and ensure fair treatment for employees across the county.
Rental Control Board
59% of Clevelanders live in rental housing. Affordability is a crisis. Stephanie supports a rental control board to regulate annual rent increases and protect residents from displacement by absentee landlords.
Senior Services
District 3 has excellent senior services in some areas, but more needs to be done. Stephanie will expand access so all seniors can benefit from social, health, and wellness programs.
Affordable Housing & Homelessness
Stephanie will work with county and city partners to ensure affordable and workforce housing is prioritized over luxury tax-abated developments. She will continue to support initiatives that provide stable housing for our homeless and housing insecure neighbors.
Health, Mental Health, and Human Services
As a licensed Peer Supporter and Architect, Stephanie understands the need for spaces and programs that restore and affirm dignity. She will advocate for policies that make mental health and human services more effective, equitable, and accessible.
Home Ownership
Stephanie will bolster home ownership initiatives to help residents counteract systemic barriers like redlining and build financial autonomy and generational wealth. Partnerships with financial institutions and county programs will expand access to affordable housing.
Universal Pretrial Support
Cuyahoga County deserves universal pretrial services for all! She will expand existing services that are only for specialized courts so that all our neighbors who have been charged but not yet convicted can access vital supportive services.
Economic Opportunity & Workforce Development
Stephanie will prioritize local workforce engagement, creating jobs through county projects and investing in homegrown talent and businesses rather than outsourcing labor.
